I’m always intrigued by trying something new, especially when it comes to food. I feel like it’s a way for me to “travel and explore” in a sense between vacations and adventures. A few years ago, I started seeing mixes popping up here and there for “mushroom hot cacao”. Although it sounded really interesting to me, I was skeptical. Reviews written always seemed to go one way or another – they loved it or they hated it. A lot of companies claimed too that the mushrooms in the hot cacao mix had special “healing powers” and what not. Maybe they do, maybe they don’t. However, one thing I do know is the drink is delicious, low in sugar and calories, caffeine free, and it kicks my craving for something sweet after dinner. It’s definitely a relaxing way to end the day, and I have found that enhancing the hot cacao mix with a few simple touches can both make the drink last a little longer and also make it a little sweeter (kicking any potential bitterness). Definitely worth the try if you are feeling adventurous!
