Superhero Soup for Sickness: Bone Broth, Leafy Greens, Spring Onion, Garlic, Cayenne Pepper and Tofu, Topped with Dollops of Sriracha and Sprinkled with Black Pepper

Whelp. I finally got the plague that has been circulating around my house, the office, my friends, my family – basically, everywhere. I finally felt well enough to cook something the other day and I decided to craft a new recipe from a bunch of ingredients that are claimed to help heal the body (or at least ease some symptoms) during illness. First, I started with a broth base made of chicken broth and bone broth, both of which have great vitamins, minerals and help to rehydrate the body. Next, I added in some leafy greens for an extra vitamin boost. Garlic and spices, which can help clear up congestion. And tofu, for an added protein punch. The whole combination kind of reminded me of a loaded miso soup haha! It was delicious and definitely hit the spot- hydrating, warm, not too filling, and spicy! A new and easy recipe to try if you’re battling illness or just looking for something healthy for your immune system this bad cold/flu season! Hope you enjoy and stay healthy! 🙂
