Thai Basil, Cantaloupe & Cucumber Salad

A unique way to combine fruit, vegetables and herbs into one flavorful dish!

Looking for an innovative way to spice up your cantaloupe? Look no further than this recipe! A simple and refreshing way to use fruits, vegetables and herbs, you pack a lot of flavor into a simple dish with very few ingredients. Definitely a “change-up” from the traditional fruit salad or house salad and a way to refresh during these hot August days. I hope you all enjoy – happy cooking and creating! 🙂

Melon Baller/Scoop (*You can cut the mellon however you prefer)

Peeler (*For shaving cucumber)

Measuring Cups

Measuring Spoons

Ingredients:

1/2 Cantaloupe, Deseeded and Cut as Desired

1 Small Cucumber, Peeled, Deseeded and Shaved

1/4 Cup Thai Basil, Cut/Torn into Fine Pieces

Toasted Sesame Seeds (To Taste)

Soy Sauce (~2 Teaspoons or To Taste)

Instructions:

  1. First, use a melon baller to scoop out hunks of cantaloupe (or cut as desired) and shave your cucumber into fine pieces. Mix those components together.
  2. Top the mixture with torn basil leaves, sesame seeds, and soy sauce, mixing everything to combine.
  3. Enjoy! 🙂
